Turning on:
- Check that the voltage in your home is the same as product rated voltage if they are different do not use this product.
- Insert the power plug into the socket
- Remove the iron from the heat resistant cover and slide the lock/unlock switch to the unlock position to release the plates, then press the power button to turn your iron on.
Temperature settings:
Your iron will start at the default temperature of 160ºC, to adjust the temperature press the + or – button. The temperature can be increased or decreased in 10ºC increments between 160ºC - 230ºC. The temperature will flash 3x then stay constant to indicate the temperature selected.
Your iron will display its current temperature as it moves to your chosen temperature, so you always know when it’s ready and what temperature you’re using on your hair.
Your iron will default to that temperature you used it at last and next time you use it, will start at that temperature.
Turning off:
- To turn your iron off press and hold the power button for 2 seconds, the display will switch off when your iron is off.
- Ensure you then switch the power off and unplug your iron from the socket.
- If you do forget to switch your iron off, it will go into hibernation after being inactive for 60 minutes.
- Hold plates closed and slide the lock/unlock switch to the locked position to secure the plates closed then replace the heat resistant cover ready for storage. Your iron will take some time to cool down, so ensure it is in a safe place while it cools.
Pro tip:
When you’re drying your hair before using your iron, smooth your hair particularly if it’s naturally curly to give you a head start and a solid foundation for your chosen style.
Comb or brush as you straighten:
If you iron over kinky, messy hair it’s going to retain that shape. Run your comb or brush through your hair just ahead of your irons to get your hair behaving itself.
